The One Pose to Turn to When You're Completely Depleted
Some days your body is asking for effort. Other days, it's asking for permission to stop. This pose is for the second kind of day. Whether you're running on empty after a brutal week, coming down from a race or a hard training block, or nursing an injury that's forcing you to slow down, this restful pose gives your nervous system what it actually needs: stillness, support, and nothing left to do. Who This Pose Is For This practice is especially helpful if you're: - Feeling completely exhausted, overwhelmed, or worn out - Recovering from a strong workout or race - Working around an injury and need a way to stay connected to your body without strain - An athletic or active person who struggles to "just rest" without a plan How to Set Up for Real Rest The quality of your rest depends almost entirely on your setup. A few minutes of preparation makes the difference between a pose you tolerate and a pose that actually restores you. - Prop generously. Use pillows, bolsters, or blankets to remove any effort from holding the position. - Choose your environment. Quiet, warm, and cozy — this isn't the pose to squeeze in next to a loud hallway or a draft. - Warm your feet. Cold feet keep the nervous system alert. Socks on. - Cover your eyes. A small pillow or eye covering blocks light and gives your mind one less thing to track. Why Setup Matters More Than You'd Think The more supported and comfortable your body is, the easier it is for your body to actually let go rather than spend the whole hold subtly bracing or adjusting. Think cozy. Enjoy, my friends. Watch the full practice: HERE

A SHIFT!
I’m repositioning this community. We’re absolutely still focusing on joint health, hip mobility, flexibility, and feeling good in your body. None of that is going away. I’m simply expanding the vision. The main goal is to cultivate a stable inner state that allows you to respond to the constant changes of your internal and external environment 🤩called life. This is an ongoing journey, my friends. It isn’t about going from A to Z, because life is constantly changing I want to teach you how to pay attention to the feedback your body, mind and life are giving you, and how to decode that feedback so you can make choices that result in a dynamic balanced way of living. After many years, I can honestly say that I’ve recognized this reliable, steady center within myself. But It isn’t rigid-that’s the whole point. It allows movement It allows emotions. It allows the ups and downs of life. Without feeling completely out of control! Alongside our yoga practice, we’ll begin building things together (with your feedback): self discovery quizzes, self-study courses, guided challenges, live practices, self-guided practices, in-person get together events and many other ideas I have in mind to help you cultivate this way of living. And I’ll be drawing from my years of practicing and teaching yoga, my work as an Ayurvedic practitioner, and my own inner work to help weaken and eventually dissolve limiting belief systems. Our three pillars will remain: 🧘 MOVEMENT: a variety of yoga asana (posture) practices and time in nature 📝 STILLNESS : contemplation, journaling, guided relaxation, self-inquiry, and other practices that help us better understand ourselves. 🥣 NOURISHMENT : developing a way of eating that works for you, along with home remedies, spices, and supportive daily and seasonal routines. I want to help you move from simply: 🫥making it through the day… 😤getting it done ✅ 😳getting it over with… to joyfully participating in the gift of being alive.🏖️🤸‍♀️🤪 That’s what The Steady State is all about.

Standing Balance Flow
Hi everyone! 👋 Finally, here it is a 25-minute standing balance class, ready for you! I ran into some technical difficulties getting this uploaded, and things took a lot longer than I expected. Looks like it might be time for me to invest in a new laptop so these uploads run more smoothly going forward. Thank you all for your patience and for bearing with me! This class is all standing postures, focused entirely on balance. It'll help build strength in your legs, firmness and stability through your core, and — since balancing really asks for your full attention, it'll leave your mind feeling calmer and more centered too. A couple of notes: if you can't yet touch the floor with straight legs while standing, keep a block nearby. And if balancing feels tricky, stand close to a wall or keep a chair within reach for extra support. This is a basic-level class, but it's a good fit if you've already got some yoga experience under your belt not ideal for absolute beginners. I hope this class helps you feel centered and calm heading into your weekend. Let me know how it goes for you! And as always, if you have any questions, I'm happy to help. 💛 https://www.skool.com/yoga-40-7155/classroom/2cfa7960?md=032b015d34ec4b15bc55c116a35b8f90 Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
