The RMRS difference
Yesterday, my regular work was canceled and I decided to grab a beer. I didnt want to wear my company uniform to the pub, so i switched into the last garment i purchased before joining RMRS (a spare t shirt i keep in my work bag) It was a basic grey crew neck T shirt. Quality material, but it fit me so poorly i was actually embarrassed to wear it in public. I blended perfectly into the blue collar pub crowd. I looked just as crappy as everyone else, and I hated it! Today i had to go drop my car off for service hours before my shift. So i thought ahead. I wore a properly fitting purple V neck T, purple flat cap, and the exact same black Carharrt work pants I wore yesterday (they were washed in between wears) The first person I see is, Samantha, the receptionist at the mechanics shop. She was fussing with her hair and jewelry before I even entered. Her first words, "wow, i love the way your cap and shirt go together" (blushes. Fusses some more) she obviously thought I was very attractive Im basically wearing the same outfit both days. A t-shirt, work pants, and a cap. Its even the same brand of t shirt! Just a different cut, size and color. Only today, people smile and nod when I pass them and pretty receptionists blush and fuss with their hair when they talk with me. That's the RMRS difference.

New water shoes
I needed a dual purpose water shoe / light hiker. I wanted something durable, grippy, and protective, AND able to get immersed in water. It seemed like Salomon Techamphibian 5's were the answer. ... and they sort of are. Trying them on, they seemed perfect. However once I actually wore them for a short walk, a seam inside the shoe where the outside of the baby toe sits started rubbing and became a hot spot. Hopefully they improve with wear and break-in period. For now, they must be worn with socks, or something protecting my baby toes from getting blisters. Otherwise, they're protective enough for sharp rocks, and quick drying. If i solve the blister issue they're perfect for my use. (Hiking waterfalls and cliff jumping)

Now that these are broken in, theyre great! Im wearing them everywhere in the Dominican. Just went surfing and i wore these. They were perfect! The Haitian boys i was surfing with said they look like dress shoes and were skeptical that they'd work well in the water, but they were all impressed once they saw action
