Something I use
Hey guys - I don't know if this is ok to share here or not, but I've been using an app called Brain.fm for many years (I'm not an affiliate or anything) but I really like it. I find it helps me to focus on the task at hand. I also find listening to classical music seems to help my focus as well. Does anyone else use music for focus when it all feels too hard?

@Phyllis Evans I 100% relate to this. I get really overwhelmed when it’s loud and I end up completely zoning out hence I tend to avoid it as much as I can

@Phyllis Evans haha I do the same thing! My cat is a great listener. Answering yourself is great for self growth and problem solving on your own, at least in my opinion. But yes you’re right I reckon it depends on the situation as I was always super social but masked a lot with alcohol. Now I find peace at home, with the cat, and with those close to me who I can have those deep one on one chats with 🧡 I have created distance with those who drain my energy with surface level chat
FEEL BEHIND? THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Quick truth: there is no "behind" in this challenge. That's a story your brain made up the moment you missed a session. And I get it. We are world class at turning one missed day into a full identity crisis. "I always do this." "I never finish anything." "Why did I even sign up." Breathe. The challenge is not a train you missed. It's a room. And the room is open until Tuesday. Five sessions of 30 minutes. You don't need five days for that. You need one weekend and a brain like ours. We don't do "a little bit every day". We do all of it, at once, when it finally matters. Let it matter. Almost everyone misses a day. The people with the big transformations? They missed days too. Felt the shame. Came back anyway. That's the rep that rewires you. Every time you quit something before, you taught your nervous system "we don't finish things." This weekend you teach it the opposite. One honest thing: I don't yet know when I run this again. If I do, it won't be this group, this week, and it might not be fully free again... So here's the whole task. Open the classroom. Press play on the next session. Answer the three questions. Repeat until your report shows up. ▶️ https://www.skool.com/adhd/classroom That report is the deepest thing you'll read about yourself this year. Don't leave it sitting there. And Tuesday is for everyone. Five days done, two days, zero days. Reinvent Your ADHD Life is where I put the whole week into one picture, announce the $2,000 in prizes live, and give everyone in the room lots of value for FREE. If life happened and you did nothing, be there anyway. That's the one thing I'm asking. 📅 Tuesday 8 September, 18:00 CEST 👉 https://www.skool.com/adhd/calendar?eid=98e07cd8498742339830a0a2cd715ed0 You're not behind. You're exactly where the comeback starts. And if you're on track: Day 5 is the one where you get your report. Live at 18:00 CEST · 17:00 UK · 12:00pm ET · 9:00am PT · 02:00 Sat AEST. Can't make it? The replay is up right after.

I just finished Day 1 too! We got this! 💪
Day 1 Done!
I felt crap missing the sessions as they’re 4am NZ time and good luck waking me up 🤣 BUT massive relief I’ve got this weekend to smash them out! My open loop is getting my mail redirected before I move to another town in just over a week 🤦‍♀️ tomorrow, 10am, in the lounge, with the….. phone and internet I guess lol.
Appreciation
Something I've been doing some nights that can help the morning wake up. Before sleeping, write down 3-4 things that you appreciate. They can be deep or simple; specific or broad. Even appreciating a moment of smiling and laughter you had that day. Or a supportive person or pet in your life. When you wake up, read your list. A little dopamine hit to start the day with. ❤️

Love this! Something simple yet what I needed to see - it’s so easy to get caught up in negative thought patterns and lose sight of how just how much amazing things I appreciate right in front of me. Starting tonignt 🥰
