EPR Registration
Just checking the legal part on Etsy - do we need to register for EPR or is this something PrintShrimp handle for the specific countries?

@Bart Tutaj doesnt matter who handles shipping to be honest its the producer and effectively we are the producer as we are the ones selling the goods. Thats why my other supplier doesn't let us use their EPR or LUCID, The players like printify and gelato probably saw it made more sense for them to allow their merchants to use them. https://www.prodigi.com/blog/eu-compliance-guide/ these are my canvas guys now after the failure of gelato so its a rather informative blog post Sadly the fact of the matter now is we are subjected to register for EPR in all member states as no fker likes to hold hands and just say lets have one policy for all... no everyone is different... im honestly done with it all im turning off EU shipping i dont give a flying fuck at this point. the gif sums up my feelings about all of this nonsense and is my heartfelt message to the EU bureaucrats

@George Peters UK has it but you dont have to register till you have an annual turnover of over 1mil and an output of over 25 tonnes of packaging which if i ever make that kind of money ill happily register lol
Uploading Large Files to Printshrimp
Hi everyone, I was wondering how everyone gets on uploading larger sized files to printshrimp as I am really struggling. I don’t have very good upload speed where I live out in the back of beyond and the 90 second time out limit on the printshrimp uploader is killing me. I can’t upload anything larger than about 6-7MB from my house and always have to drive to a coffee shop or somewhere in town if I have bigger files 😆 It’s not too much of a problem but a couple of people recently have asked me for larger sizes and when I upscale they are way over 25MB and I’m wondering how on earth to get them uploaded. Does a normal internet speed cope with sizes like that? Does anyone else have this issue? I’m going to have to start adding on the price of a chai latte and a muffin to my larger sized posters to cover the cost of my pilgrimage to Costa coffee every time I need a large size! 😄😄

I’ve honestly never had this problem, even with files well over 25MB. I’ve got a 1Gb full fibre connection with 100MB upload and large PrintShrimp uploads go through without any drama, so I’d suspect your upload speed is the issue rather than the file size itself. If your broadband upload is particularly slow, it might be worth checking what your phone gets on 5G. You could try uploading one of the big files through a 5G hotspot and see whether that gets around the 90-second timeout. If it does, at least you’ve found a workaround without having to make a regular pilgrimage to Costa! 😂 Just keep an eye on your mobile data allowance though — a few 25MB+ files probably won’t matter, but if you’re regularly uploading big print files, they can chew through mobile data surprisingly quickly. So my highly technical advice would probably be: get better internet. 😆 But seriously, 5G can sometimes be surprisingly good for upload speeds if your local mobile network is decent.

@Lesley Cameron depends on your set up but do give the mobile connection a try it might be better you can always do a speed test from your mobile phone to check first. If its got a better upload just use it as a hotspot, you might want to check your data allowance tho lol
Struggling to convert views to sales
Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing okay. I would just like to get some help on the start of building my etsy store, i try and upload 2-4 new listings every day but I am struggling to see any results from it. I'm not sure if this is normal at this stage, my current store has been open for 2 months and I had a mini rebrand about a month in. I have attached the link to my store if anyone could give some feedback that would be much appreciated. Thank you so much https://roomandprint.etsy.com

@Boris Xie make use of the marketplace insights and test what claude is giving you as tags (you get 15 free searches a week) but just make sure claude isnt just making stuff up also its probably giving you really broad and generally useless stuff. https://addtocartseo.app/ is pretty handy when you are staring out too, you can do one free per day but it will give you an idea of whats good to compare with claude.
Custom order
How do custom orders work? I’ve messaged Printshrimp but doubt I’ll get an answer before Monday. My question is, I have a potential customer asking for a print 24x30, which isn’t a standard size. Will the print be printed edge to edge with no white boarders? Anyone have the answer for me please? I’d like to message her back before Monday, if I can. Thank you, you lovely bunch. 😘

You need to email them and ask if they can accommodate the custom size first and if they can you will need to resize your image to fit to avoid white borders its a 4:5 ratio 7,200 x 9,000 px at 300dpi
Paid vs Free
Hey Guys, Something has been bugging me recently..... I see lots of the new guys writing posts about how they create their listings and it usually involves something to do with paid subscriptions to services like Canva or Midjourney. This is something I did when I first started, I had a subscription to Adobe Firefly for image creation but when it started to play up, not creating the images I was asking for with quite detailed prompts I started to search for the best free alternatives. So, I just thought I would share what I use now. The only subscription I have is for the Bulk Listing Tool on Printshrimp as this saves so much time when actually going from Image to Listing on Etsy. I have just upgraded to the Pro plan from Premium as I can see the benefit in using it, especially with some significant celebration seasons inbound. Anyways, I digress 😆 Here is the tools, with links, to the sites I use to create all my listings, feel free to check them all out and see if they can do the job better than the subscriptions you are currently using..... For Prompts - Qwen AI - https://chat.qwen.ai/ I occasionally use ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot but my main one is Qwen For Image Creation - https://www.meta.ai/ I recently said on a post that this was unlimited; it is not, but you will get up to 100 images before running into the limits. Qwen can also do images but I don't find them as good (it also does short videos too) For Resizing - https://www.imgonline.com.ua/eng/resize-image.php I have lost count of the number of times I have linked this in a post. You can do everything you need to with your generated images - size (7000 x 9900 for A1), stretch/narrow/crop, input DPI (300), export as a 100% quality JPEG. If you use Qwen to write your prompts, Meta AI to create the image and IMGOnline to resize it, you should never need to pay for a subscription to get your images for your listings created 👍
