Mine not so much, but I have a plan. If you follow me, you might have checked the post I wrote on skoolers today about why I won't automate my DMs. Basically, Roast & Promote is all about real human communication. Real conversations since the onboarding, real feedback, real people's opinions on market research, exchanging real stories between real entrepeneurs instead of just consuming sensationalist content... All throught a structure of giving and receiving feedbacks (roasts) and competing weekly for free advertizing made by me. And the work I do for the standard tier, the one I do for free, already takes me a lot of time. To the point that it gets harder and harder to manage this community as it grows. Welcoming people in a human way without automation, is a lot less work than roasting every comment, tagging relevant people, counting the scores and making ads for the champions. So here is how I intend to evolve this community in a way that is manageable and will keep the quality human factor of it over time. Nothing will change now, but eventually: - I'll only personally roast premium and VIP members. Standard members will still have me tagging people on their posts, pinning them till they get enough attention and counting the roaster of the week scores that everyone can compete for. This might be the first change I make here, but not yet. - If it gets to the point that I'm growing too fast, this community will get paid for entry. This will slow down new members and at the same time select people who are more serious about our purpose here and are more commited to helping others and getting serious feedback. And if even than it gets too hard, I'll hire a VA or moderator to help me out. - I'm working on a second community. That one will be paid for entry from the start but current premium and VIP members will get a free invite for it as a bonus. The purpose of this second community is to actually help people manage their time and focus on more strategic ways and will have great synergy with Roast & Promote.

The guilt hits every time you say no
You say no, and the guilt shows up like clockwork. So you go back. You say yes. You put yourself last again. I made a free Guilt Decoder to help you understand why it happens and stop obeying it. Grab it inside my free community, People Pleasing to Peace, whenever you are ready. ๐Ÿ’› https://www.skool.com/people-pleasing-to-peace-5073/about Mandy ๐Ÿ’›

@Mandy Townes Yay! Well done! I totally forgot who I was until the kids became teenagers and didn't need me as much.

I've been lurking for a while...
Hi, I'm Adam! Although this is my first post here, I know many of you from other communities, and our own. I thought it would be time to pop up and say hi! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜ Nobody prepared me for how much WORK hosting a Skool community would be! It's so easy to get stuck just trying to reply to everyone who has mentioned you and it's impossible! No regrets though, I absolutely love it here! - I just wish there were more hours in the day to get to know everyone on Skool, what they are up to and how we can help them. My biggest business weakness has always been social media, which is ironically the biggest free marketing opportunity there is, so I dedicated 90 days to learn all about it. I am really not comfortable on camera at all, and it shows! but I've been working to overcome my shyness and I'm determined to be so embarrassed of this, my first appearance on camera in twelve months. I created a free community to help people that want to start a business with no money, by using the skills and resources they already have. I don't believe in blueprints. they don't work because we all have different skills, different time, different everything. I retired in my forties and don't have to work. I started this community because I was doing voluntary coaching and it was really rewarding, and I wanted somewhere for people to go and get help after they had read my book. Basically I'm just doing what I want and making it up as I go along, but that's just how the greatest businesses are born sometimes. I'm just waffling now - my wife has just handed me a lovely looking sandwich. I can't be rude, so I'm off to sit in the garden and eat it now. Here is my welcome video! I look forward to chatting to you all in the comments later. ๐Ÿ˜

Ah, yes - I think that's my main problem, is that I am a true hedonist that really values time, so when I have days like this morning when my computer wouldn't play nicely for two hours it zaps my energy because it's stealing time away where I want to be doing FUN things! I do allow myself at least 4-6 hours a day for me and weekends are non-negotiable family & friends time.. My brain never stops though... I do love building things and helping people. ๐Ÿ˜
