Tips please on visualising your future self ? I really struggle with visualisation
if anyone has any tips on visualising your future self and really feeling that emotion I really struggle with this - feeling emotion for others I also find really difficult - but I can feel my own but I usually bottle it up …

@Ritu Costello @Stephanie Smith Try de-personalizing the visualization. Have you ever been uncomfortable with something like a compliment, then asked yourself: What would (my best friend) say? Either TO me, such as talking to me about how true the compliment is, even if I don't see it, or how would she respond when someone paid HER a compliment? It's so much easier to think about sensitive things with someone other than myself as the focus. In the same vein, instead of visualizing your future-self, consider your friend, again. If you did (whatever task) today as a surprise for her in the future, how do you think she would respond when she, at last, realizes what you did, and that it has made her life better - even if only for a moment. And even if the 'better' is nothing more than the knowledge that someone cared enough to think of her. I hope this isn't too convoluted to understand. From a different perspective, the other day, I had done the dishes before I went to bed (not my usual behavior!). In the morning, when I saw a clean sink and counter, I said out loud: Wow, I really appreciate whoever it was that did the dishes! So, there is an example of my future-self thanking me for an action. Best wishes for a new self-acceptance! 🌹

@Trinette Jaeger I think I got most of the slides. Can you give me a bit of context so I can do a search? 🪻
Goodbye
I'm sorry, thank you for the help you have provided but I will be leaving the community. I cannot in good conscience stay in a community that so easily dismisses the experience of millions of people to it's the Canadian federal government's fault. Also a community that supports a lie and supports slander and misinformation. I am protecting myself and my country Edit: I wanted to edit this rather than delete as words cannot be erased. Therefore I would like to amend my comment. I unfortunately misunderstood Kelly's testimonial this morning, I should have asked for clarity, I made a mistake. However, the response from some of the community, not all, left me feeling very much dismissed, attacked and not welcome. Due to the brain injury 2 sentences can take a full 5 or 10 minutes to type, therefore I was unable to respond. My first comment was supposed to just go to host and panelist, I had not meant to send that to everyone. The response from some people showed me that this was only safe if I made myself small and minimised myself for everyone else's comfort. I have fought for years to bring myself back from 12 years of constant bullying. After which I was married for 2 years followed by a brain injury and 9 days in a coma. I came home just an exploding mess of unregulated frustration and self loathing. I lost my career, my license, I couldn't walk, I had a horse I could no longer get too, and 3 out of 4 of my pets died. A guinea pig, a dog, and a budgie. Only my cat survived. My husband is autistic so for 16 years I lost my mind and he retreated. I cheated emotionally twice as I was dying, I grabbed for a life line like I was drowning. The brain injury happened on August 7 2006, my 22nd birthday. My in-laws spent 16 years blaming me for everything as due to the brain injury my mask broke but my husband is so good at the mask even his own family didn't know him. They left me out if he didn't come to family functions, as they were convinced I was the problem. They even wanted me to send my kids with them for camping trips so I could be left behind since he didn't want to go and I wasn't welcome without him.

@Tracy Omara @Reny Young Day 6 was at the same time and same link as the original five days. There will be a replay - I'm guessing it will show up in the Classroom. And, we'll likely get an email as we did for each day, saying that the replay is posted.
Making a video - is 3:51 to long?
I've done so many takes and finally got one I think will work but it came in at 3:51 and now I see that 120 seconds may be the max. Is that hard & fast? Should I post or try again?🌺

@Renee Kers As with so many things, it is a process. After letting it rest in my brain a bit, I realized that I had given too much background info, Interesting as it may be, it is not relevant to the purpose of the video - that is progress in thinking, cut to the chase, what is it you want to say, all the things that led up to your comment are not important!! Thanks for ALL your kind replies. 💐
