🧹 AI Writing Gives Itself Away In 3 Places
Your reader cannot always say why a post sounds like AI. They just scroll past it. It almost always comes down to three places. 𝟭: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 AI reaches for the same safe words again and again. They fit any business, so they say nothing about yours. 𝟮: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺 Almost every sentence comes out the same length. Your reader's ear hears it, even when their eyes do not. 𝟯: 𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁 Nothing in it sounds like a person stopped to think. There is no aside and no short line that lands with weight. Most of us only fix the words. We swap a few out and post it. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆. Clean words at one flat length still read like AI wrote them. 𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 👇 Read your last post out loud. Count the words in 5 sentences in a row. If they all land within a few words of each other, you just found it. ------------ The 𝗔𝗜 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 fixes all three places in your draft and hands back: 1️⃣ Your draft back, rewritten so it reads like a person wrote it, ready to paste 2️⃣ What changed, three before-and-after lines pulled from your own draft 3️⃣ The count, how many AI giveaway words were in it before and how many are left 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 👇 🔹 This skill, waiting in the pinned post 🔹 Your first 7 AI Specialist skills 🔹 The next Skill-of-the-Week when it drops 🚨 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬: 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 🚨 Each Skill-of-the-Week is ONLY available for 7 days before it moves into the Skill Vault for Premium & VIP members. The rhythm part is definitely the biggest culprit for me. You can swap out all the overused words, but if every sentence marches at the exact same pace, it still feels robotic. Reading drafts out loud usually exposes it right away.
Okay so I wanted to share something with you all.
I'm rebuilding my own brand right now, and its been a whole journey already. Started with the classic founder move: rebrand EVERYTHING. New name, new offer, new positioning, new everything, all at once. (Big main character energy. Also, in hindsight, a great way to never actually ship anything.) Got some honest pushback on that, the real move isn't rebuilding, its narrowing. One person. One problem. One flagship offer. One proof asset. Pause everything else. (Humbling. Also correct. Also still a little annoying to hear.) Following my mentor's framework for how this whole build should actually run, and genuinely excited about where its headed. So that's the start, going from redesign my entire existence to pick the one thing and actually finish it. Documenting the whole thing here as it happens, the messy parts included.

That line about narrowing down being correct but annoying to hear hits home. Trying to fix every piece of the brand at once feels productive until you realize nothing is actually going out the door. Looking forward to seeing the build come together as you focus on that one offer.
😆 Maybe We’ve Made Consistency Too Complicated?
One of the things I’ve been thinking about a LOT lately is how consistency compounds. Not just in the obvious way — more workouts eventually make you stronger, more nourishing meals support your health, more walks add up... There’s another kind of compounding that I think matters just as much: Every time you do the thing you said you’d do, you create a little more evidence that you can TRUST yourself to follow through. Here are 5 ways I think we can make that easier: ✅ 1. Build self-belief on purpose. Self-belief isn’t a mindset you're born with. It’s evidence you build. Each time you do the small thing you said you’d do — walk, prep food, train, go to bed on time, journal — your brain records: I follow through. Those tiny pieces of evidence add up. ✅ 2. Lower the bar + protect momentum. Bad day? Do the 5-minute version. The short walk. The mini meditation. The lighter workout. The ridiculously easy meal. The goal isn't huge progress today. The goal is NOT restarting tomorrow. ✅ 3. Protect the streak. A streak can start to shift how you see yourself. You stop asking: Do I feel like it? And start thinking: I’m someone who does this. Pick ONE action that matters and track it. Consistency beats optimisation. ✅ 4. Remove decision fatigue. Decide once: 🥣 What your go-to breakfast is. 💪 What days + times you train. 📱 What time your phone goes away at night. 🥦 What easy food you ALWAYS keep available. You’re not relying on willpower every day. You’re relying on a decision you already made. ✅ 5. Don’t overlook THIS benefit... Consistency doesn't just improve results. It removes so much of the guilt + mental clutter. Instead of: on track → off track → feel bad → restart Monday You start creating: small action → small win → confidence → repeat. 💚 You don't need a perfect week. You need a repeatable day. So I’d love to know: What’s ONE thing you’re trying to become more consistent with right now? And perhaps more importantly… What’s the LOW-BAR version you could still do on a tough day?

Lowering the bar on tough days makes a huge difference for staying on track. When my schedule gets chaotic, having a single low effort checklist item on my Floment AI task tracking board keeps the chain alive without stressing me out. Pairing that with Google Calendar time blocks helps me focus on showing up instead of overthinking the process.
I’m Done Playing Games... and it's Heather's fault!!!
I’ve been edging closer and closer to Heather’s Level 7 leaderboard unlock, and it’s been taking me forever. So today’s the day. I’m making my move. 😂 But while I was plotting my rise to Level 7, I caught myself thinking about the way we talk about engagement in our own communities. The fact that I’ve kept coming back here because there’s something I want to reach means Heather has given me a reason to participate beyond “please engage with my posts.” That’s a pretty good lesson for us community builders. A level unlock can give someone a reason to come back. But the points alone aren’t the whole experience. The fun is having something worth showing up for, people worth talking to along the way, and a little anticipation about what comes next. So now I’m curious: What gives members a reason to come back and participate in your community? Is it a goal, a ritual, a relationship, an unlock… or something else? And Heather, if you see me commenting all over the place today, give a girl a hand!! Go ahead and start liking anything and everything!! I have a Level 7 to catch. 👀

Having a clear reason to show up makes a huge difference compared to just chasing points for the sake of it. In my own groups, I pair weekly discussions in Discord with shared progress updates in Floment AI so everyone can see real momentum build over time. It turns the gamification into something tangible rather than just busywork.

@Heather Boers yesss! That sweet spot where having fun actually leads to real connections and results is where the magic happens.
More traffic might be the LAST thing your Skool needs.
It's easy to start obsessing over your member count. 100 members feels better than 50. 500 feels better than 100. But member count alone doesn't tell you if your community is actually healthy. You need to watch these instead: 1️⃣ DISCOVERY — Are enough people finding you? Look at how many people are reaching your community/About page. If very few people are seeing the community, you probably have a visibility problem. Don't redesign your entire offer yet. 2️⃣ CONVERSION — Are visitors becoming members? compare: VISITORS → JOINS If people are finding you but aren't joining, look at your: → Positioning → Headline → Promise → About page → Offer More traffic won't necessarily fix a conversion problem. 3️⃣ ACTIVATION — Do new members actually START? This one gets overlooked. Someone joining isn't the finish line. What percentage of new members complete the first meaningful action? That might be: → Introduce themselves → Complete Start Here → Take an assessment → Attend a call → Start a challenge → Get their first quick win If people join and then disappear, your bottleneck may be onboarding, not engagement. 4️⃣ PARTICIPATION — Are members DOING anything? Don't only count likes and comments. Look for meaningful participation: → Asking questions → Sharing work → Completing challenges → Attending calls → Helping other members → Reporting progress → Posting wins A community can look busy without actually moving members forward. 5️⃣ PROGRESS — Are members getting the result? This might be the most important metric of all. What evidence tells me members are getting better? Track things like: → First wins → Milestones completed → Before/after results → Finished projects → Assessments → Member wins → Testimonials If you can't see progress, eventually members may struggle to see it too. 6️⃣ RETENTION — Do they KEEP coming back? Are members still active weeks or months later? In a paid group: Are they staying subscribed? In a free group: Are they returning and participating?
More traffic might be the LAST thing your Skool needs.

Focusing on activation over raw traffic numbers is such a critical distinction that most community owners overlook. If people join but do not complete that first meaningful action, you are just filling a leaky bucket. I track our community engagement milestones on a Google Sheet and use Floment AI project cards to organize quick win onboarding steps for members. Keeping visibility on individual progress updates makes seeing whether people are actually moving forward so much simpler.
