Mmmmm Lets discuss this further because a lot of people do think everyone has a crystal ball.
I had a conversation with Des last night about events and something occurred to me.
I think sometimes we forget that we know too much.
You know what your event is about.
You know what you do.
You know why you created it.
You know what people are going to learn.
You know what that clever little title means.
The problem is… I DON'T. 😂
I'm just some random (very random 😜 ) English woman scrolling through Skool who has never met you before.
And if I look at your event title or banner and my first thought is…
“What on earth is this actually about?”
…you've probably already lost me.
Because I'm not going to investigate. I'm not going to study your banner for clues.
I'm certainly not going to wander off and research who you are so I can work out whether your event might possibly be for me.
I'm going to scroll.
So here's a little test.
Go and look at your next event as though you've never heard of yourself.
Forget everything you know about your business, your community and what you teach.
Look only at the title, banner and the first bit of information you've given me.
Would a complete stranger immediately know:
What is this about?
Is it for someone like me?
Why should I stop and find out more?
If the answer is no, don't make your audience work harder.
Make your event clearer.
Because you may know exactly what you're offering…
but the rest of us haven't been invited into your head. 😂
