Today would've been my 25th wedding anniversary to my first husband and given the season, it's given me pause to reflect. This is a day I notice but don't think about much, but given the energetic weight of the last week and what has been asked of us by the fall equinox, full moon and Chiron's return to Aries it makes sense that this came up for a look in my conscious mind. As I reflect back on me then and me now, I have so much love, gratitude, and compassion for her. At first she was willing to ignore the signs that maybe this wasn't the right union (he was kind, respectful, diplomatic, friendly, and very social after all). Even though he had so many good qualities he also didn't always prioritize her (his job and social life often won out). But in the end, she listened to her intuition and truth even though no one could understand and told her not to go...
This was the first I chose myself and it felt very scary and isolating. But, everyday I wake up grateful that I did. Grateful that I had a choice. 💗
And, I'm going to go back to the lessons from Chiron in Aries for a moment (if you missed the post yesterday, click on the link above). We've been in this energy since 2018 and it will remain until April of 2027. This last time around we have an opportunity to connect with the wounds connected to having the right to exist, take up space, take action, and be ourselves.
25 years ago I struggled with this and my divorce was the first step to reclaiming myself. That was 2008. I started my emotional and spiritual healing journey in 2012, but it wasn't until 2024 during my Chiron return that I had to confront all of this head on because I couldn't ignore, shove down or dismiss my feelings anymore. I had to walk through many fires, be broken open and rise like a phoenix again several times, but it was so worth it.
Every tear, every primal scream, every awareness and acknowledgement gifted me with confidence, trust, faith, knowing and love for myself, the journey and the collective I wouldn't have received otherwise. 🤍🤍🤍
This transit exposed all of the places where we feel we need permission to exist as ourselves, to act on our desires, to pursue what moves us, and chart our own path. It's an opportunity to dig into the why behind our indecision, hesitation and self consciousness.
Chiron in Aries teaches us that being ourselves requires courage- to be authentic, to trust our urges and instincts, and to risk disappointing others. It reminds us that we can still move forward AND be scared like I did with my divorce and again recently when I stepped completely away from my professional life as it existed. We can be uncertain and still start; be insecure and still present; and we don't need permission to exists. ❤️🔥🫶
You are special and the world needs your gifts. You don't need permission for anything. 💖✨🫶
