Having a hard time emotionally
Hey Maurice. I'm honestly having a hard time. Thursday last week I attended a breath work session and it brought up a lot of childhood trauma and sorrow for me. I was able to breath through it and let go of a lot of things but yesterday I resorted back to nicotine and caffeine to numb a little bit as it felt too much. I've been reaching out to friends and that has helped a lot. The nicotine didn't have any effects at all besides irritating my already sensitive gut, so they went out the window just as quickly. They don't fulfill any purpose anymore.
Since going on carnivore and following your cortisol morning protocol I feel more and more sensitive.
My guess is since I'm spending more time in parasympathetic mode my nervous system has peeled off layers of defense mechanisms and is now going deeper into the healing process touching emotional bagage that my body wants to let go of.
I meditate mornings and evenings as well and learned a Taoist breathing technique to circulate energy throughout and out of my body.
I've haven't heard anyone speak about this yet when it comes to going on carnivore diet. What is your take regarding the nervous system?
