I would like to give a shout out to
@Mik Shridhar Højlund Bøll (who I hope doesnt mind me sharing this)
Mik answered a post of mine and sent me the link below. It’s a very interesting watch and explains so much. I had to rewind it a few times but it should be bookmarked by some of us to explain to our friends and families what we cannot express when trying to explain ourselves
“I was researching the topic of 'memory issues' and coincidentally saw a video on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/ouZrZa5pLXk?is=na0AIPgCMxEXSHUE)
It was a discussion with "Thomas E. Brown, PhD" on the subject of ADD/ADHD. When watching it I felt like it was my life he was describing in his discussion. A very surrealistic experience for me.
I then went to my doctor with my suspicion and five months later I was diagnosed ADD by a psychiatrist. April 1. 2022. (No joke, it was the exact date 😅).
And that was fast. Today you'll have to wait 2-4 years to get an appointment at a psychiatrist regarding getting assessed and diagnosed. At least in Denmark. Crazy.
Thomas E. Brown died at home on August 18, 2025. He was 83. (https://medicine.yale.edu/news-article/in-memoriam-thomas-e-brown-phd/ )
And I'm of course especially sad about his departure.
Because he gave me this important clue that led me to a new and real understanding of myself and my lifes struggles.
A clue that also opened up new possibilities and opportunities for me. 🩵🌱”
Thank you so much Mik for showing this to me
