Air filter and mold test

Jared recommended I get a blood or house test for mold to see if I have mold currently in my house. I know my house had mold in the past, and I know it has affected me. I believe it is all cleaned up in the house, but I don't know for sure. Looking at the prices, it's $400 for the filter - needed if my house has current mold, and $380 for the blood test. I'm thinking I will go ahead and get the filter and skip the test. Is there any info I would miss by skipping the test?
